2/8 - "Equality For All'

Equality For All

In the reading I found the most intriguing was pages 105-108 on under the topic of Social Deconstruction of Disability. After reading that it made me evaluate not only how the disable go through but as well self evaluate what I do and don’t do for them. As stated on page 105, “ People with disabilities should be in charge, because people without disabilities are unlikely to see many of the obstacles in their environment. Moreover, they are likely not to see them as obstacles even when they are pointed out, but rather as “normal” features of the built environment that present difficulties for “abnormal” people.” This is indeed true, if anything I know believe that disable to more involved and invited to the design system of advertisement, functionality of certain things. Make more things versatile inside of separated, putting them more in their own category to themselves making them feel less of a person or “normal” person.

I felt as if this informative information on the disabled was a good analogy was for Feminism as well. A different perspective with the same feel and want of outcome. Outcome and feeling of equality, being considered and involved in what’s going on.
